August 15, 2013 -- For some of the best views of Montreal's skyline, walk up the stairs at Mount Royal Park to the summit where the Mount Royal Chalet is located. From this vantage point, you get a spectacular view of the downtown skyline and beyond down the Saint Lawrence River and other points in Quebec.
The French Beaux Arts chalet was constructed in 1932 as part of a Great Depression project. Today it hosts big events and provides a peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle of the city below. If you bring a significant other to Montreal I suggest taking them to the chalet at dusk for likely the most romantic place in the city.
